About the Instructor: Tyler Woods
An Equity and SAG/AFTRA actor who has worked in the industry for the
past two decades, Tyler’s acting credits include the pivotal roles of Hamlet,
Macbeth, and Henry V. His work with theater companies across the US
includes Virginia Stage Company, The Pearl Theatre Off-Broadway, and
The American Shakespeare Center. His training background includes
Columbia University, The Public Theater, and Stella Adler Studios, NYC.
Founder of OKC’s highly praised Reduxion Theatre where he has served as
Executive Artisitc Director for the past 10 years, Tyler has produced,
directed, or acted in nearly 40 Shakespeare plays in the past 15 years. Mr.
Woods is also an accomplished stage combat performer and
choreographer, and has worked on such projects as Broadway’s The Pirate
Queen, the Oklahoma Festival of the Arts, and with the OKC Metropolitan
Library System. Mr. Woods has been a Teaching Artist in Spanish Harlem, New York with The Town Hall Foundation, NYC; The American Shakespeare Center of Virginia,
and The Public Theater, NYC; he has served as the Education Director for Oklahoma
Shakespeare in the Park; the administrator of the “F.A.C.T.”
OKCPD/Oklahoma Arts Council after-school Arts Program, and a guest artist
at institutions ranging from Mustang H.S., to the Oklahoma City Ballet, and The
University of Science and Arts in Chickasha. Tyler Woods is a 2015 recipient
