Ms. Safrankova has a lifelong acquaintance with dance.  She studied ballet as a child with
Susan and Buddy Trevino, and performed with their Ballet Company from the age of 8 to
22, with periodic breaks as she also explored acting, singing, and modern dance.  During
her final semester of school at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio,
Texas; she had the fortune to work with Halka Tresnakova, an actor from the Czech
republic, which led her to visit Prague in what she considers a successful effort at
self-education.  The piece she will perform tonight was developed partially during a
workshop in Prague (Letni Setkani, organized by Marie Kinsky) with Beatrice Libonati and
Jan Minarik.
