History
Tyler Woods founded Reduxion Theatre Company in
2000 under the name Dreamstuff Productions.  In that
year, in the courtyard of Mitchell Hall Theatre on the
University of Central Oklahoma campus, RTC produced
Shakespeare’s
Much Ado About Nothing on a budget of
$200.  During its 3 day run, over 200 Oklahomans had
the opportunity to see theatre done by a community of
young actors and technicians hungry for change…hungry
for the opportunity to have their work seen and
respected.  The results were spectacular.  An entire
community of citizens had come together to enjoy a
group experience and share in the bond that theatre can
give to us.  A strong belief in the power of theatre to
teach and to transform has led Mr. Woods to seek like-
minded artists and patrons over the years to take part
in his journey to explore the human capacity for good
and evil in a realm of storytelling as old as humanity.
This is now RTC’s vision for the people of Oklahoma.

Tyler Woods has been acting, directing and producing Shakespeare's plays for the past
decade and has worked and studied at some of the most prestigious theatres in the country
including The American Shakespeare Center, Virginia Stage Company, The Public Theater and
The Pearl Theatre in New York City.  He has studied with such distinguished professors and
artists as Janet Zaresh – Head of Acting at NYU; Andrew Wade, head of Voice at the RSC and
Tony Award winner Liev Schrieber.  He has directed, produced or acted in 28 productions of
Shakespeare's work in the past decade and is an accomplished stage combat choreographer
as well, having trained and worked with some of the most outstanding fight specialists in this
country.

Education credits include two years as a Teaching Artist with The Town Hall Foundation in NYC;
Education Director for Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park, where he inaugurated their very
popular Young Company Theatre Camp; Classes and workshops in the U.S. and Canada
during a year-long tour with The American Shakespeare Center; and several teaching
residencies in Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas.

Mr. Woods has spent many years learning to appreciate Shakespeare as one of the most
uniquely talented storytellers of all time who holds as much relevance now as he did 400 years
ago.  Reduxion Theatre Company now offers this vision of Shakespeare in all his living,
breathing glory with the ingredients that make humankind unique, viable, pliable, interesting
and ultimately fascinating!
